About the Bricklayer Program

Three-year study and training Program completed with the Vocational Certificate.

In this Program students acquire, under the leadership of experienced Instructors, the necessary skills in building constructions, reconstructions and repairs and, generally, in the fundamentals of masonry and concrete work.

Did you build toy houses when you were a child? Would you like to be able to build a real house from the ground up to the roof? Do you like varied and interesting activities? Do you wish not to be afraid of losing work during your lifetime? Then come to study with us! We offer.

• Practice at construction sites under the leadership of experienced Instructors;
• One week of professional training alters with one week of study;
• Financial support can reach 27 000 crowns in cash during three years, in addition to salary you can earn for real work;
• After three years the Vocational Certificate is awarded; in addition, there exists an option to continue in the Extended Program completed with the Maturita-Leave Exam;
• You will get valuable knowledge and skills for working on various projects in the construction industry.

Our students will:

• Do concreting and casting job for the building foundations, floors, etc., install wall insulation of vertical construction from various types of material; make ceilings and other finishing work, as well as surface treatment with plaster or ceramic tiles. In the process, they learn how to use and maintain appropriate tools and machines. 
• They will also acquire working knowledge of building construction of all types, as well as practical skills for working on them; for instance, when there is a demand for drywall installation, window fitting, thermal insulation of outer walls, reconstruction of wet masonry, etc. They learn how to apply modern technologies and materials.
• They also learn to read and use technical documentation, make simple construction drawings, do calculations of material expenditure; as well as they acquire notion about pricing and general economic issues, so they can work independently with their Trade License, if desired. They would also be able to manage their own company while using modern ICT technology (which is offered as part of the training).  

Our skilled students take part in and regularly win top places in construction trade-show competitions.

This training Program is supported by the Liberec Region; the students receive a motivation stipend of 500 crowns each month (15 000 crowns in total during the Program). In addition, they may also receive special merit-based stipend, paid on a half-year basis, in a total amount of 12 000 crowns over the 3-year period.

There is still lack of craftsmen, while the construction industry has no limits to growth. The results of your work will be visible forever!
